Circular No. (1) of 2018
Concerning The Payment of the Dues of Contractors
and Suppliers
To all governmental entities and Companies in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi
Peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you,
We are pleased to greet you and to extend our sincere gratitude for your
continuous cooperation to realise the common interest.
Subsequently to what was provided for in Circular No. (4) of 2017 concerning
the Dues of the Private Sector, and based on our continuous keenness to
encourage the private sector and the payment of their financial dues, you are
obliged to the following:
1. Payment of all dues of contractors and suppliers within 30 days from the
date of receiving the related invoices.
2. Including a clause in the contracts with the contractors and suppliers
stipulating that the contractors and suppliers shall commit to pay the
dues of sub-contractors and sub-suppliers within 30 days from the date of
receiving their dues from the governmental entities and companies.
3. Amending all effective contracts with the contractors and suppliers in
accordance with what was aforementioned.
4. In case of a dispute between the parties regarding a part of the amounts due,
the undisputed amount shall be settled and this shall not be considered as
a forfeiture of the right of any party until an agreement is reached regarding
the remaining amount as per the contract.
