Circular No. (6) of 2021
Concerning the Organisation of Documents and
Archives in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi
To all the government entities and companies in the Emirate of Abu
Dhabi,
Peace be upon you, and God's mercy and blessings,
We are pleased to greet you and to extend our sincere gratitude for your
continuous cooperation to realise the public interest,
Based on Abu Dhabi Government’s keenness to document and highlight
the achievements of the Emirate by organising, archiving and preserving all
documents in the Emirate, and making optimal use of information sources
and to support decision makers, and based on the approval of the Executive
Committee, we kindly urge you to abide by the following:
- Taking the inventory of all documents, preparing lists of them, and submitting
them to Abu Dhabi Executive Office within two months from the date of
issuance of this Circular.
- Preparing lists of documents that are no longer used in the entity and
classifying them for the purpose of destroying them or transferring them to
permanent preservation in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Executive Office
and in accordance with the legislations in force.
- Coordinating with the Data Department at Abu Dhabi Executive Office and
nominating whomever you deem appropriate to follow up on the developments
of the circular within a week from the date of its issuance
