Concerning the Organisation of Events in the Emirate
of Abu Dhabi
To all governmental entities and companies in the Emirate of Abu
Dhabi
Peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you,
We are pleased to greet you and to extend our sincere gratitude for your
continuous cooperation to realise the common interest.
In line with the Keenness of the Government of Abu Dhabi for the governmental
entities to assume the role entrusted thereto according to the competencies
prescribed therefor, to emphasize on the competence of the Department
of Culture and Tourism regarding the organisation of event activities in the
Emirate, and based on the approval of the Executive Committee, we urge you
to adhere to the following:
• The Department of Culture and Tourism shall have the power to lay down
policies, standards, regulations, resolutions, and executive and operational
circulars, which include the conditions, requirements, technical and
professional approvals, and the control and supervision of events in the
Emirate in accordance with the legislations in force.
• The Department of Culture and Tourism may request that the governmental
entities submit all plans and periodic reports related to events and any
data they require to facilitate their task of organising, controlling and
supervising events in the Emirate.
• Coordination shall be made between the Department of Culture and
Tourism and governmental entities to include all regulatory requirements
and conditions that governmental entities request to be included in Abu
Dhabi Events Licensing System.
