Executive Council Resolution
No. (207) of 2021
concerning The Official Working Days and Hours for
Abu Dhabi Government
The Executive Council has decided the following:
1. Approve making the weekend in the government on Saturday and Sunday.
2. Approve changing of official working hours of the Government, to become
as follows:
Days Official Working Hours
From Monday
to Thursday
Eight (8) hours From 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
Friday Four and a half (4.5) hours From 7:30 am to 12:00 noon
3. The government entities and companies may apply the flexible work
system commensurate with the nature of their work.
4. All the government entities shall, each within their own competencies,
implement what is stipulated in this Resolution.
5. This Resolution shall be effective from 01/01/2022, and published in the
Official Gazette.
