Executive Council Resolution No. (337) of 2018
Concerning the Exemption of New Economic Licences
from Fees
The Executive Council has decided the following:
1. Exempt all new economic licences from the fees imposed by all
governmental entities on investors when issuing new licences, including
the fees related to any governmental approvals or permits that are required
to obtain the new licences and the notarization fees of memoranda of
association related to new licences.
2. This exemption shall be effective for two years from the date of issuance
of the licence and includes the branches of local entities as well as the
branches of entities in other Emirates, the Free Zones’ branches, the GCC
Companies’ branches and the foreign companies’ branches.
3. Entrust the Department of Economic Development with the laydown of the
mechanisms that are required for the implementation of this Resolution.
4. All the concerned entities shall implement this Resolution in coordination
with the Department of Economic Development.
5. This Resolution shall be implemented from 01/12/2018 and a report
shall be submitted within two weeks from this date on any updates related
to implementation, to Abu Dhabi Executive Office, by email (confidential)
