This Direction is applied to all Musaffah channel
familiarization course applicants and the holder of
the MFC certificates.

3. Purpose
This direction has been issued with aim to ensure
awareness, security, efficient and safe navigation
for all vessels transiting Musaffah channel.

أصدرت هذه التعليمات ل ضمان املعرفة و سالمة وأمن املالحة البحرية
لجميع السفن املتنقلة في قناة املصفح .

4. Details
Please be advised that due to issues being raised,
all Musaffah Channel Familiarization Certificates
will only be valid for the vessels of the
owner/operator’s (as identified in the Navigation
License) who were the employer of the Holder at
the time of the certificates issue/re-issue. All new
certificates will carry this information and VTS will
be checking that the declared MFC matches the
vessel.
Moreover, in addition to the existing requirement
to attend a Musaffah Channel Familiarisation
Course, the candidate must have carried out a
minimum of 2 familiarisation trips in the preceding
12 months before the course, either:
a.With a pilot on board, or
b.With a holder of a MFC

4 . التفاصيل
يرجى العلم أنه نظرًا للمشكالت التي أثيرت ، فإن جميع شهادات
التعريف بقناة املصفح ستكون صالحة فقط لسفن املالك / املشغل
(كم ا ه و محدد في رخصة املالحة) والتي تخص صاحب ال عمل املعني
في وقت إصدار الشهادات أو إعادة ال صدار. ستحمل جميع الشهادات
الجديدة هذه املعلومات وس يتحقق مركز مراقبة حركة السفن من
ذلك
من ناحية أخرى ، بالضافة إلى املتطلبات الحالية املطلوبة لحضور
دورة تعريف قناة املصفح ، يجب أن يكون املرشح قد أجرى رحلتين
الـ تعريف على األقل في األشهر 12 السابقة للدورة ، إما :
أ. مع وجود مرشد على متن السفينة ، أو
ب. مع حامل شهادة MFC
