DIRECTION
Minimum Tug Requirements for Mina Zayed,
Freeport & New Freeport
To: Port Users & Vessels' Agents
In order to ensure safety of navigation and protect ADPC infrastructures
within Mina Zayed Port Limits, ADPC Mina Zayed Harbour Master
requirements for use of ADPC Tugs within Mina Zayed, Freeport & New
Freeport Ports are detailed in the table below.

General Notes:
1. The above are the minimum requirements for safe maneuvering,
berthing and/or un-berthing of the vessels within the Port basin. Any
deviation from tho se requires Harbour Master approval.
2. The above requirements are based on normal weather and
environmental conditions (winds, including forecast winds, of up to
20 knots). The pilot can request more tugs assistance if he, with
consultation of the vessel master, thinks it is needed for safe vessel
movement within the Port.
3. Additional tugs might be required during periods of adverse weather.
4. Due to considerable variations in vessel size, shape, condition and
degree of capability, certain vessel movements are not adequately
covered in above table. They will be subject to HM decision.
5. The vessel Master has the right to request more than the above
requirement if he feels the need to do so.
