Implementation of Tug & Tow checklist
To: All Ports Users, Agents & all other interested parties
This is amended checklist and it cancels the previous one, which circulated on 24
September 12 with Ref. No. ADPC-PO-HM-HMD-00009.
In light of recent incidents involving tugs & tows in ADPC ports, and as a
measure to prevent its occurrence in the future, ADPC has introduced
Tug Safety checklist & Acknowledgement notice (attached) for
implementation in all ADPC Ports.
All concerned Port Users should submit completed form to Mina Zayed / Free
Ports Control for Harbour Master approval. If approved, towing combination will
be granted permission to enter the Ports.

good working condition.
2 Barge towing gear is certified and Navigation Lights are in good working condition. Barge is safe
and seaworthy for towing operation.
3 Full set of valid class & flag state documents for the tug and towed unit are available on board.
4 Tug boat is loaded with suitable quantities of fuel, water and provisions.
5 Vessel is ready for the above tow from ____________ to ____________
6 Is towage arrangement certificate available?
7 Is Certificate of towage for the intended voyage available?

The tug boat holds Bullard pull certificate.
