In line with port quality services improvement
and in order to ensure safe and efficient Port
marine traffic, operations and services in
Musaffah Port, Western Terminal and
Waterways areas. Abu Dhabi Ports assign a
specific Inner Anchorage Area in Western
Musaffah ICAD Zone , dedicated for vessels
calling Western Musaffah Terminal.
The area borders will be within (inside) the
following coordinates:

INotice to Mariners
The Inner Anchorage Area will provide safe
anchorage for the following vessels categories:
• Operating within/calling Western
Musaffah Terminal ;
• Awaiting for berth space or order;
• Require specific marine services;
• Waiting for pilotage services;
• Waiting for weather;
• As contingency designated area.
Below are the restrictions and terms that will be
applied at Inner Anchorage Area all the times:
• Anchoring subject to VTS
permit/instructions
• Maximum allowable vessel draught is
3.5 meters, and Harbour Master
approval is required for more than this
• Maximum LOA 140 meters including
towage combination
• Night time Navigations is restricted only
for familiar and confidante master
holding PEC/MFC
• Safe Distance should be maintained in
between anchored vessels
• All AD Ports rules and regulation are
applied at this area
