Purpose: الغرض :
In the interest of minimizing ship transit time in
the approach channel, avoiding any delays to the
vessels, enhancing safe and efficient navigation
of vessel movements in Khalifa Port, relating to
channel one- way traffic principle. The following
measures have been taken and implemented:
من أجل تقليل وقت عبور السفن في ال قناة ، وتجنب أي تأخير
للسفن، و ل تعزيز املالحة اآلمنة والفعالة لحركة السفن في
ميناء خ ليفة ، املتعلقة ب مبدأ حركة السفن في اتجاه واحد في
القناة املالحية ، فقد تم اتخاذ وتنفيذ اإلجراءات التالية:

1. Port Limits Amendment
The port limits have been revised, extended
one (01) mile along the East side of the
existing port limit, the over-all extended
length is 6.8 miles, in an entire area of 01X6.8
miles (22.59 SQ.KM). The new port limits are
depicted in the chartlet attached.

تم تعديل حدود امليناء، بتمديد مسافة ميل واحد
( 01 ) على طول الجانب الشرقي من حد ود امليناء
الحالية ، ويبلغ إجمالي الطول الكلي املمتد 6.8 ميل، في
منطقة كاملة تبلغ مساحتها 01X6.8 ( 22.59 SQ.KM )
كما هو موضح في الرسم البياني املرفق.

2. ATON – Establishment of a Special Mark
The channel red port-hand mark lateral buoy
KP8 at position 24-52.97N, 054-37.75E
characteristics has been changed to special
mark buoy, pillar shape, single yellow colour,
showing a continuous quick yellow light Q.Y
and fitted with radar reflector.
The special mark yellow buoy is deployed as
a point of reference to identify the navigable
(secondary) channel entry and exit area-
route (corridor) which have been established
to balance the traffic density in the main
channel and reduce the one-way traffic
restriction.
2 . املساعد ات املالح ية – إنشاء عالمة خاصة
تم تغيير خصائص العوامة الجانبية الحمراء KP8
للقناة في املوقع 24-52.97N, 054-37.75E إلى عوامة
عامودية صفراء خاصة، بخاصية الضوء األصفر
السريع املستمر Q.Y ومزودة ب رادار عاكس .
تم وضع العوامة الصفراء الخاصة كعالمة ونقطة
السفن وخروج دخول مكان لتحديد مرجعية
(الثانوي ة ) للقناة (املمر) املناسبة للمالحة، الذي تم
إنشائه ملوازنة كثافة الحركة املالحية في القناة
الرئيسية وتقليل قيود حركة السفن في اتجاه واحد.
3. Pilot Boarding Places Revision
The existing pilot boarding and disembarking
ground centered in position 24-57.00N, 054-
33.40E, have been named outer pilot
boarding place (A) alpha. This pilot boarding
ground will be used as deep-water (DW)
boarding place for the maximum permissible
deep draft vessels and for any other vessels
regardless of its size and type.
A new inner pilot boarding place named (B)
bravo is introduced & implemented at position
24-54.00N, 054-38.20E. This pilot boarding
ground will be used for certain ships on terms
of a variety of parameters such as type,
draught, length overall, weather and tide
conditions.
3 . مراجعة أماكن صعود املرشد البحري
سيتم استخدام موقع صعود ونزول املرشد الحالي
املتمركز في املوقع 24-57.00N, 054-33.40E والذي
سمي بنقطة الصعود الخارجي (A) alpha ، كنقطة
صعود في املياه األكثر عمق ا ، ألقص ى حد مسموح به
لسفن الغاطس العميق وأيضا ألي سفن أخرى بغض
النظر عن حجمها ونوعها.
تم تعيين نقطة داخلي ة جديد ة لصع ود ونزول املرشد
سم ي ت (B) bravo في املو قع 24-54.00N, 054-
38.20E وسيتم استخدامه ا فقط لسفن معينة وفق ا
ل عوامل مختلفة مثل النوع والغاطس والطول الكلي
وظروف الطقس وحاالت املد والجز ر.

The sufficient sea room, navigable depth,
dimensions of the navigational areas such as
approaches, maneuvering area in the new inner
pilot boarding place (B), allow safe pilot boarding
conditions, and the approximately one mile
(1848 meters) space between the special mark
buoy KP 08 & lateral buoy KP10 with 280 meters
channel width, satisfy the safe navigation day
and night for inbound or outbound of certain
ships.
املساحة و أبعاد املناطق املالحية الصالحة للمرور وللمناورة
وعمق املياه الكافية في مكان صعود امل رشد البحري الجديد ة
( B ) تفي بمتطلبات صعود املرشد اآلمنة. ومسافة ميل واحد
تقريبا ( 1848 مترا ) بين العوامة الخاصة KP 08 والعوامة
الجانبية KP10 إضافة إلى عرض القناة البالغ 280 مترا ،
تسمح باملالحة واملناورة اآلمنة في الدخول والخروج ليال ونهارا
في القناة املالحية ( لسفن معين ة) .
Ships should navigate with particular caution
within the port areas, high level of situational
awareness and communication are required to
ensure safe and effective, navigational and
maneuvering operations.
يجب على السفن التنقل بحذر داخل مناطق امليناء، والذي
يتطلب مستوى عال ٍ من الوعي والتواصل لضمان عمليات
مالحية ومناورة آمنة وفعالة.
In line with the good practice of seamanship, the
requirements of the master-pilot information
exchange should be conducted before entering
the channel or departing the berth. Angle and
speed of approach should be properly planned
within the passage plan and conducted safely
while steering a vessel to the channel entry/exit
point, between KP8 & KP10 buoys . Entry on a
shallow angle (at the lowest possible angle) to
channel direction should be considered, taking
into account the natural factors affecting the ship
motion, type of the ship and its characteristics.
تماشيا مع أفضل املمارس ات للمالحة البحرية واملناورات
للتحكم بالسفن ، يجب إجراء تبا دل ا مل علومات بين القبطان
وامل رشد البحري قبل مغادرة دخول القناة أو الرصيف . و يجب
تخطيط زاوية وسرعة االقتراب ضمن خطة املرور وتنفيذها
بأ مان أثناء توجيه السفينة إلى نقطة دخول / خروج القناة
بين العوامات KP8 و KP10 . يجب النظر في الدخول بزاوية
صغير ة (بأقل زاوية ممكنة) في ا تجاه القناة مع مراعاة العوامل
الطبيعية التي ممكن أن تؤثر على حركة السفينة ونوع
السفينة وخصائصها.
Khalifa Port VTS will assign the pilot boarding
ground for embarking or disembarking from a
vessel according to the type, size and draught of
the vessel. However, the planned boarding or
disembarking area may be changed by Khalifa
Port VTS in the event of adverse weather
conditions, poor visibility or other operational or
safety reasons and the vessel passage plan
should allow this.
سيخصص برج مراق بة الحركة املالحية مليناء خليفة مكان
صعود نزول املرشد أو وفقا لنوع السفينة وحجمها وغاطسها.
ومع ذلك، قد يتم تغيير منطقة الصعود أ و النزول املخطط
لها من قبل برج مراق بة الحركة املالحية في حالة الظروف
أسباب تشغيلية أو ضعف الرؤية أو الجوية السيئة أو أسباب
السفينة بذلك تتعلق بالسالمة ويجب أن تسمح خطة مرور .

This NTM shall take effect from 0001 hours (Local
Time) on 01 July 2021.
