Cabinet Resolution No. (104) of 2022 Concerning the Technical Regulations on Animal Slaughtering Requirements According to Islamic Rules in the United Arab Emirates
The Cabinet,
‒ Having reviewed the Constitution; and
‒ Federal Law No. (1) of 1972, On the Competences of Ministries and Capacities of Ministers, and its amendments thereof; and
‒ Federal Law No. (16) of 2007, On the Protection of Animals, and its amendments thereof; and
‒ Federal Decree-Law No. (20) of 2020, On Standards and Metrology; and
‒ Cabinet Resolution No. (1) of 2001, Approving Mandatory Metrology Standards for the United Arab Emirates; and
‒ Based upon the proposal submitted by the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and the Cabinet's approval,
Resolved:
Article (1)
The UAE Technical Regulation "Animal Slaughtering Requirements According to Islamic Rules", whose number and title are determined in the schedule annexed to this Resolution, shall be deemed a mandatory technical regulation in the United Arab Emirates.
Article (2)
All concerned entities, existing at the time of this Resolution's enforcement, shall regulate its statuses in compliance with its provisions within (365) days as of its enforcement date.
Article (3)
This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force as of the day following its date of publication.
