Cabinet Resolution No. (116) of 2024 On the Technical Regulations for Maximum Residue Limits for Pesticides in Agricultural and Food Products

The Cabinet:
− Upon reviewing the Constitution;
− Federal Decree-Law No. (20) of 2020 Concerning Specifications and Standards;
− Cabinet Resolution No. (4) of 2020 Concerning Mandating Standard Specifications for Food Sector in the United Arab Emirates;
− The Proposal submitted by the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and the approval of the Cabinet;
Has resolved as follows:

Article (1)

The Technical Regulation for Maximum Residue Limits for Pesticides in Agricultural and Food Products, the number and title of which are shown in the Table attached to this Resolution, is a Technical Regulation that is mandatory to be applied in the United Arab Emirates.

Article (2)

All concerned authorities existing at the time the entry into force of this Resolution shall adjust their situations in accordance with its provisions within one hundred and eighty (180) days as of the date of its entry into force.

Article (3)

The Technical Regulation No. (UAES MRL1:2019) entitled Maximum Residue Limits for Pesticides in Agricultural and Food Products, approved by the aforementioned Cabinet Resolution No. (4) of 2020 shall be repealed.

Article (4)

This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall enter into force as of the day following its publication date.
