Cabinet Resolution No. (20) of 2017 Regarding the Adoption of the Unified Healthcare Professionals Qualification Requirements (PQR) at the State Level

The Cabinet:
− Having reviewed the Constitution,
− Federal Law No. (1) of 1972 Regarding the Competences of Ministries and Powers of Ministers, as amended,
− Federal Law No. (7) of 1975 Regarding the Practice of the Human Medicine Profession, as amended,
− Federal Law No. (5) of 1984 Regarding the Practice of Certain Medical Professions by Non-Physicians and Pharmacists, as amended,
− Cabinet Resolution No. (11) of 1974 Regarding the Employment System for Foreign Physicians Working at the Ministry of Health, as amended,
− Cabinet Resolution No. (9) of 1975 Regarding the Employment System for Pharmacists, Veterinarians, and Medical Technicians Holding Higher Qualifications, as amended,
− Cabinet Resolution No. (10) of 1975 Regarding the Employment System for Medical Technicians Not Holding Higher Qualifications, as amended, and
− Upon the proposal of the Minister of Health and Prevention, and the approval of the Cabinet,
Hereby resolves as follows:

Article (1)

a. The Unified Healthcare Professionals Qualification Requirements (PQR) at the State Level, attached to this Resolution, are hereby adopted.
b. All authorities concerned with health affairs in the State shall observe the provisions of the PQR, each within its respective competence.

Article (2)

The Minister of Health and Prevention shall, in coordination with the authorities concerned with health affairs in the State, issue the necessary resolutions for the implementation of the provisions of this Resolution.

Article (3)

The Minister of Health and Prevention may, in coordination with the authorities concerned with health affairs in the State, amend the PQR referred to in Article (1) of this Resolution.

Article (4)

Any provision that contradicts or conflicts with the provisions of this Resolution is hereby repealed.

Article (5)

This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall enter into force on the day following the date of its publication.
