Cabinet Resolution No. (21) of 2024 Concerning the Fees for Services Provided by the Ministry of Justice to Regulate the Translation Profession
The Cabinet,
‒ Upon reviewing the Constitution; and
‒ Federal Decree-Law No. (22) of 2022, Regulating the Translation Profession; and
‒ Cabinet Resolution No. (41) of 2016, Concerning the Fees of Services Provided by the Ministry of Justice to Translators; and
‒ Based on the proposal submitted by the Minister of Finance and the Cabinet's Approval,
Has resolved as follows:
Article (1) Definitions
In applying the provisions of this Resolution, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings assigned thereto, unless the context otherwise requires:
Ministry: Ministry of Justice.
Profession: Translation Profession stipulated in Article (1) of this Decree-Law.
Translator: A natural person who practices the profession of translation and shall be registered in the List.
Translation House: A private legal person licensed to practice the translation profession in the State and registered in the List, including Local and International Translation Houses.
Decree-Law: Federal Decree-Law No. (22) of 2022 Regulating the Translation Profession.
Article (2) Service Fee
In consideration of the services provided by the Ministry to Translators and Translation Houses as shown in the List attached herein, the fees assigned thereto shall be collected.
Article (3) Fee Amendment
The Cabinet has the power to make any amendments to the fees mentioned herein, whether by addition, deletion or amendment.
Article (4) Fee Collection
1. Fees stipulated in this Resolution shall be collected through the methods decided by the Ministry of Finance.
2. For the purposes of collecting the fees stipulated in this Resolution, part of a month shall be considered a full month, and part of a year shall be considered a full year.
Article (5) Repeals
Cabinet Resolution No. (41) of 2016 Concerning the Fees of Services Provided by the Ministry of Justice to Translators shall be repealed, as well as any provision that conflicts and contradicts with the provisions of this resolution.
Article (6) Publication and Entry into Force of the Resolution
This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and enter into force as of the day following the date of its publication.
