Cabinet Resolution No. (36) of 2019 Regarding Mandatory Standard Specifications in the United Arab Emirates

The Cabinet,
− Having reviewed the Constitution,
− Federal Law No. (28) of 2001 Establishing the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology, as amended,
− Cabinet Resolution No. (38) of 2012 Regarding the Approval of Mandatory Standard Specifications for the United Arab Emirates,
− Cabinet Resolution No. (18) of 2016 Regarding the Application of a Mandatory Standard Specification in the United Arab Emirates, and
− Upon the approval of the Cabinet,
Hereby resolves as follows:

Article (1)

The updated standard specifications for the electricity sector, numbering two, and whose numbers and titles are set out in the Schedule attached to this Resolution, shall be mandatory standard specifications in the United Arab Emirates.

Article (2)

The concerned authorities responsible for implementing this Resolution shall, within (180) days from the date of its entry into force, regularize their status in accordance with its provisions.

Article (3)

This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall enter into force on the day following the date of its publication.
