Cabinet Resolution No. (5) of 2019 Regarding a Mandatory Standard Specification in the United Arab Emirates

The Cabinet,
− Having reviewed the Constitution;
− Federal Law No. (1) of 1972 Regarding the Competences of Ministries and the Powers of Ministers; as amended,
− Federal Law No. (28) of 2001 Regarding the Establishment of the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology; as amended, and
− Upon the approval of the Cabinet,
Hereby resolves as follows:

Article (1)

The standard specification No. (UAE.S 5030:2018) "Electronic Nicotine Products (Equivalents of Traditional Tobacco Products)" shall be deemed a mandatory standard specification in the United Arab Emirates.

Article (2)

All authorities concerned with the implementation of this Resolution shall regularize their status in accordance with its provisions within (90) days from the date of its entry into force.

Article (3)

This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall enter into force on the day following the date of its publication.
