Cabinet Resolution No. (50) of 2024 Concerning the Technical Requirements of Electric Cars in the United Arab Emirates
The Cabinet,
‒ Having reviewed the Constitution; and
‒ Federal Decree-Law No. (20) of 2020, Concerning Standards and Metrology; and
‒ Based upon the proposal submitted by the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and the Cabinet's approval,
Resolved:
Article (1)
The Regulation on Technical Requirements for Electric Cars (UAE.S 2698:2024) shall be deemed a mandatory technical standard in the United Arab Emirates.
Article (2)
This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force (365) days as of its date of publication.
