Cabinet Resolution No. (56) of 2020 Regarding the Application of a Mandatory UAE Standard Specification for Safety Requirements in School Buses in the United Arab Emirates

The Cabinet,
− Having reviewed the Constitution,
− Federal Law No. (1) of 1972 Regarding the Competences of Ministries and Powers of Ministers, as amended,
− Federal Law No. (28) of 2001 Regarding the Establishment of the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology, as amended,
− Cabinet Resolution No. (30) of 2011 Approving Mandatory Standard Specifications for the United Arab Emirates, and
− Upon the approval of the Cabinet,
Hereby resolves as follows:

Article (1)

The standard specification for safety requirements in school buses, the number and title of which are specified in the Schedule attached to this Resolution, shall be deemed a mandatory standard specification in the United Arab Emirates.

Article (2)

All concerned entities existing at the time of entry into force of this Resolution shall regularize their status in accordance with its provisions within (365) three hundred and sixty-five days from the date of its entry into force.

Article (3)

This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall enter into force on the day following the date of its publication.
