Cabinet Resolution No. (84) of 2024 Concerning Technical Requirements for Emergency Call (eCall) in Vehicles
The Cabinet,
- Upon reviewing the Constitution; and
- Federal LaDecree-Law No. (20) of 2020, Concerning Standards and Metrology; and
- Cabinet Resolution No. (13) of 2018, Concerning Mandatory Standards for the United Arab Emirates; and
- Based upon the proposal submitted by the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and the Cabinet's approval,
Has resolved as follows:
Article (1)
The Technical Requirements Regulation for eCall in Vehicles (UAE.S 5019: 2024) shall be a mandatory technical regulation in the United Arab Emirates.
Article (2)
Standard No. (UAE.S 5019: 2018), approved by Cabinet Resolution No. (13) of 2018, shall be repealed.
Article (3)
This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and enter into force as of the day following the date of its publication.
