Safety Requirements for Soil Test Works
To all soil testing contractors working in building &
construction sector within the Abu Dhabi City.
As Abu Dhabi City Municipality always enhance
EHS measures at the construction sites. All soil
testing laboratories and consultants are requested to
comply with the following requirements:
Environment Health and Safety Requirements
• التأكد من أخذ جميع الموافقات والتصاريح من الجهات المعنية قبل
البد ء بأعمال فحص التربة .
• Ensure all authorities approvals & permits are
obtained prior to start any soil test activities.
• عل ى مقاول ي فحص التربة إ عداد بيان يوضح طريقة العمل وتقييم
المخاطر ألعمال فحص التربة مع ضمان إتباعهم وال لتزام بهم بشكل
دقيق.
• Soil test contractors shall provide clear method
statement & risk assessment for the soil test works
& ensure they have been implemented strictly.
• يجب القيام بالدراسة الجيوفيزيائية قبل أعمال فحص التربة الجيوتقنية
في المواقع حسب المتطلبات المحددة في تصريح فحص التربة.
• Geophysical study shall be conducted prior to
geotechnical investigation works in the sites as
per the soil test permit requirements.
• على مقاول ي فحص التربة توفير مكا ن عمل آمن لألفراد والمعدات
وضمان أيقاف ووضع المعدات بمكان ثابت ، واتخاذ الجراءات
الالزمة في المناطق ذات التربة الضعيفة (على سبيل المثال الحفر
اليدوي، استخدام األلواح الثابتة ، واستعمال األغلفة) للتقليل من
األنهيار خالل عمليات الحفر.
• Soil testing contractors shall provide a safe
workplace for personnel & equipment. Ensure
equipment are parked & placed in stable locations
& take appropriate measures in areas with weak
soils (Eg. manual excavations, using pads stable
platform & utilizing casing) to minimize collapse
during drilling operations.
• حصول جميع المعدات ذات العالقة على شهاد ة تسجيل المرور (ملكية)
وشهاد الفحص ة من طرف ثالث سارية المفعول خاصة لمنصات
الحفر ، و حصول مشغلي المعدات على شهادة كفاءة صادرة من طرف
ثالث سارية المفعول.
• All relevant equipment shall have valid UAE traffic
registration card (Mulkya) & 3rd party inspection
certificate particularly for drilling rigs. All
operators of these equipment shall have valid 3rd
party competency certificates.
• على مقاول ي فحص التربة التأكد من تأمين و ا غالق مناطق العمل
بشكل كافي وتوفير اللوحات التحذيرية لمنع دخول العامة واألشخاص
غير المخوليين الى أماكن العمل .
• Soil testing contractors must ensure that work
areas are adequately secured & closed. Provision
of warning signs to prevent entry of public &
unauthorized persons to the workplaces.
• الفحص اليومي للضوضاء والغبار لضمان عدم تجاوز الحد المسموح
به مع ضمان األخذ بالتدابير الوقائية إ ذا تطلب األمر . ضرورة أخذ
التدابير الكفيلة بمنع تسرب الزيوت والوقود إلى التربة.
• Noise & dust shall be monitored in a daily basis to
ensure that their levels are not exceeding the
allowable limits. Appropriate measures shall be
taken to prevent from oil & fuel leakage to the soil.
Ensure preventive measures are taken where
required.

• توفير معدات الحماية الشخصية المالئمة ومرافق الراحة المناسبة
لجميع العمال ومشغلين المعدات.
• All required PPE & appropriate welfare facilities
shall be provided for the workers and the
equipment operators.
• على مقاولي فحص التربة االمتثال واللتزام بمتطلبات السالمة
والصحة المهنية في إمارة أبوظبي والقوانين ذات العالقة في الدولة
ورفع التقارير الخاصه بها.
• Soil testing contractors shall ensure compliance
with Abu Dhabi Emirate OSH requirements & UAE
relevant legislations & submitting the related
reports.
• على كافة ال ستشار ين أل عمال فحص التربة ضرورة الشراف على
تنفيذ ما ورد بهذا التع م يم والعمل على مراقبة تطبيق جميع تدا بير
ومتطلبات ولوائح الس المة والصحة والبيئة المع مول بها في المارة
والدولة.
• All consultants of soil tests works shall supervise
the implantation of the contents of this circular and
monitor the adherence of All EHS measures,
requirements & regulations of Abu Dhabi Emirate
& UAE.
