Subject: Implementation of new fees and cancellation
of alcohol licenses for individuals
ﺍﻟﺑﺩء ﺑﺗﻁﺑﻳﻖ ﺍﻟﺭﺳﻭﻡ ﺍﻟﺟﺩﻳﺩﺓ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻣﺷﺭﻭﺑﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﻛﺣﻭﻟﻳﺔ ﻭﺇﻟﻐﺎء ﺍﻟﻣـﻭﺿﻭﻉ:
ﺭﺧﺻﺔ ﺍﻷﻓﺭﺍﺩ
Greetings, ﺗﺣﻳﺔ ﻁﻳﺑﺔ ﻭﺑﻌﺩ،
Pursuant to Law No (8) 2018, establishing the
Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi
(DCT Abu Dhabi) with an overall objective to
develop and improve quality standards of the
tourism industry in Abu Dhabi, and Law No. (31)
2019 regarding alcoholic beverages, and DCT Abu
Dhabi chairman resolution No. (75) of 2020
regarding the regulation of alcoholic beverage
activity concerning the executive regulation law
No. (31) of 2019 regulating alcoholic beverages in
the emirate of Abu Dhabi, we would like to
announce the cancellation of alcohol licences for
individuals, where residents and tourists will be
permitted to buy and possess alcohol from
licensed retail shops, and are allowed to drink
within tourism and hotel establishments, clubs, and
independent outlets, in accordance with the
following requirements:
ﺑﺷﺄﻥ ﺇﻧﺷﺎء ﺩﺍﺋﺭﺓ ﺍﻟﺛﻘﺎﻓﺔ 2018 ( ﻟﺳﻧﺔ8ﺑﻧﺎء ً ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻘﺎﻧﻭﻥ ﺭﻗﻡ )
ﻭﺍﻟﺳﻳﺎﺣﺔ – ﺃﺑﻭﻅﺑﻲ ﻭﻣﺎ ﻧﺹ ﻋﻠﻳﻪ ﺑﺷﺄﻥ ﺍﻟﻣﻬﺎﻡ ﻭﺍﻻﺧﺗﺻﺎﺻﺎﺕ ﻟﺗﺣﻘﻳﻖ

ﺑﺷﺄﻥ ﺗﻧﻅﻳﻡ ﻧﺷﺎﻁ ﺍﻟﻣﺷﺭﻭﺑﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﻛﺣﻭﻟﻳﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺇﻣﺎﺭﺓ ﺃﺑﻭﻅﺑﻲ، ﻧﻭﺩ 2019
ﺇﻋﻼﻣﻛﻡ ﺑﺄﻧﻪ ﺗﻡ ﺇﻟﻐﺎء ﺭﺧﺻﺔ ﺍﻟﻣﺷﺭﻭﺑﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﻛﺣﻭﻟﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﺧﺎﺻﺔ ﺑﺎﻷﻓﺭﺍﺩ ﺣﻳﺙ
ﻟﻠﻣﻘﻳﻣﻳﻥ ﻭﺍﻟﺳﻳﺎﺡ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻹﻣﺎﺭﺓ ﺑﺷﺭﺍء ﻭﺣﻳﺎﺯﺓ ﺍﻟﻣﺷﺭﻭﺑﺎﺕ ﺳﻳﺗﻡ ﺍﻟﺳﻣﺎﺡ
ﺍﻟﻛﺣﻭﻟﻳﺔ ﻣﻥ ﻣﺗﺎﺟﺭ ﺍﻟﺑﻳﻊ ﺍﻟﻣﺭﺧﺻﺔ، ﻛﻣﺎ ﻳﻣﻛﻧﻬﻡ ﺗﻧﺎﻭﻟﻬﺎ ﺩﺍﺧﻝ ﺍﻟﻣﻧﺷﺂﺕ
ً
ﺍﻟﺳﻳﺎﺣﻳﺔ ﻭﺍﻟﻔﻧﺩﻗﻳﺔ ﻭﺍﻟﻧﻭﺍﺩﻱ ﻭﺍﻟﻣﻧﺎﻓﺫ ﺍﻟﻣﺳﺗﻘﻠﺔ ﻭﻣﺎ ﺷﺎﺑﻬﻬﺎ، ﻭﺫﻟﻙ ﻭﻓﻘﺎ
ﻟﻼﺷﺗﺭﺍﻁﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﺗﺎﻟﻳﺔ:
The consumer must be 21 years old.
The purchase is for personal consumption only
and not for resale to others or storage.
The alcoholic beverages are consumed in
private homes or inside licensed areas.
Any other conditions specified by DCT Abu
Dhabi
ﻋﺎﻣﺎً. 21 ﺃﻥ ﻳﺑﻠﻎ ﻋﻣﺭ ﺍﻟﻣﺳﺗﻬﻠﻙ
ﺃﻥ ﻳﻛﻭﻥ ﺍﻟﺷﺭﺍء ﻟﻼﺳﺗﻬﻼﻙ ﺍﻟﺷﺧﺻﻲ ﻓﻘﻁ ﻭﻟﻳﺱ ﻹﻋﺎﺩﺓ ﺍﻟﺑﻳﻊ ﻟﻠﻐﻳﺭ
ﺃﻭ ﺍﻟﺗﺧﺯﻳﻥ.
ﺃﻥ ﻳﺗﻡ ﺍﺳﺗﻬﻼﻙ ﺍﻟﻣﺷﺭﻭﺑﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﻛﺣﻭﻟﻳﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻣﺳﺎﻛﻥ ﺍﻟﺧﺎﺻﺔ ﺃﻭ ﺩﺍﺧﻝ
ﺍﻷﻣﺎﻛﻥ ﺍﻟﻣﺭﺧﺻﺔ.
ﺃﻳﺔ ﺷﺭﻭﻁ ﺃﺧﺭﻯ ﺗﺣﺩﺩﻫﺎ ﺍﻟﺩﺍﺋﺭﺓ.
Please be informed that the fees mentioned in the
attached table (fees approved according to
Executive Council Resolution No. (100) of 2020)
will be applied as of date, noting that some
licences mentioned in the previously mentioned
table are under development.
ﻛﻣﺎ ﻧﻭﺩ ﺇﻋﻼﻣﻛﻡ ﺑﺄﻧﻪ ﺳﻭﻑ ﻳﺗﻡ ﺍﻟﺑﺩء ﺑﺗﻁﺑﻳﻖ ﺍﻟﺭﺳﻭﻡ ﺍﻟﺟﺩﻳﺩﺓ ﻭﺍﻟﻣﺫﻛﻭﺭﺓ

Attached is DCT Abu Dhabi chairman resolution
No. (75) of 2020 regarding the regulation of
alcoholic beverage activity in the emirate of Abu
Dhabi mentioned in the executive regulation law
No. (31) of 2019 for your information and to modify
the status of tourism facilities, noting that the
guidelines of regulating and licensing alcohol
activity shall be issued and circulated at later
stages.
