Organising Events Held in Commercial Restaurants in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi

• Event venues must be registered and
approved in the system by the Inspection
Section prior to holding any event.
• An entertainment permit may be granted for
one string instrument player only.
• Commercial restaurants are not permitted to
hold workshops or meetings.
General Regulations:
• Customs, traditions, and the cultural
heritage of Abu Dhabi must be respected,
and participation in any event activity with a
racist, extremist, criminal, or public
order/offense nature is strictly prohibited.
• The use of the words “Abu Dhabi” “the
Government” or the Emirate’s promotional
identity in events is prohibited unless the
necessary approvals are obtained from the
concerned authorities through the Event
Licensing System.
• No additional activities may be added to the
licensed event through the Event Licensing
System if they were not approved or not
mentioned in the agenda or application.
Participation of Entertainers:
• Entertainers are not permitted to participate
in the event without final approval and l
permits issued through the Event Licensing
System. Their participation must be
suspended until approval is granted through
the Event Licensing System.
Advertising:
• Advertising the event in any form, whether
on social media or otherwise, is not
permitted until final approval is obtained
through the Event Licensing System.
Inspection and Penalties:
• Please be informed that the above-
mentioned establishments will be inspected
by the inspectors of DCT Abu Dhabi to verify
