Greetings, ﺗﺣﻳﺔ ﻁﻳﺑﺔ ﻭﺑﻌﺩ،
In line with the preventative measures for Coronavirus
(COVID-19) issued by relevant entities, and in line with
efforts to sustain and support the tourism industry and
n a t i o n a l e c o n o m i c d e v e l o p m e n t , t a k i n g i n t o
consideration the importance of community and public
health, the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu
Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) is announcing that all Hotel
Establishments in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi will be
allowed to reopen their swimming pools starting from
Thursday 16 July 2020 on condition of complying and
fulfilling the attached bilingual (Arabic & English)
precautionary and preventive measures document.
ﺗﻣﺎﺷﻳﺎ ً ﻣﻊ ﺗﻭﺟﻳﻬﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﺟﻬﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﻣﻌﻧﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﺻﺎﺩﺭﺓ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺩﻭﻟﺔ ﻓﻳﻣﺎ ﻳﺗﻌﻠﻖ ﺑﺎﻟﺗﺩﺍﺑﻳﺭ

Please note that hotels establishments will be inspected
by DCT Abu Dhabi's inspectors to verify compliance
with these instructions.

Protocols & Guidelines

Swimming Pool Guidelines
Screening, Isolation & Testing:
• Swimming pool water quality test must be conducted before resuming operations (Total Coliforms, Fecal Coliforms, Heterotrophic Plat Count, Ps. Aeruginosa, Fecal
Streptococci & legionella).
• Guide to Executive Regulations of Law No.2 for the year 2012 (Swimming pools) must be followed to ensure all parameters are met including water sampling regime.
• Chlorine concentration (between 1.0 and 2.0 PPM) or Bromine concentration (between 2.0 and 4.0 PPM) should always be maintained .
• Venue guidelines to be displayed upon arrival.
• All staff, including swimming instructors and lifeguards, should undergo COVID-19 testing prior to reopening, and have test on bi-weekly basis afterwards.
• Staff, including swimming instructors and lifeguards, can resume work if the test result is negative.
• Temperature checks must be done to all individuals (staff, guests, contractors etc.) before entering the hotel facilities.
• Every guest that has a body temperature of 37.3 Degrees Celsius or higher, should be escorted to a designated isolation room in close proximity to the main entrance and
the “Estijaba” service at the operation centre, Department of Health (800 1717) must be alerted in line with local COVID-19 rules and regulations. If the individuals want
to leave the hotel immediately this will be allowed, although hotel should try to obtain ID and contact details. All ID and contact details of these individuals must be
recorded and forwarded to the General Manager.
• Guests, staff or contractors showing flu-like symptoms are to be denied access to the hotel premises. With respect to in-house guests showing symptoms, they should not
be allowed out of their room until medical checks have been completed.
• Report any guest, staff or contractor who display flu-like symptoms to the “Estijaba” service at the operation centre, Department of Health on 800 1717.

Swimming Pool Guidelines
Physical Distancing:
• The number of guests allowed to use the swimming pool at one time shall not exceed its set capacity of 50% of total square metres of pool size, ensuring 4.5 square
metres per person. Signs explaining the capacity level must be displayed at the entrance.
• Guests must be instructed to place towels on the sunbeds/loungers to prevent absorption of any sweat seeping into the material.
• Sunbeds and loungers are to be placed 2 metres apart to maintain social distancing.
• Physical distancing markings of 2 metres, should be clearly defined on the floor for all queues, including the bathroom.
• Guests must be instructed to avoid socialising with people outside of their own group.
• No physical contact between swimmers allowed.
• Guests should maintain 2 metres distance from others at all times inside and outside the pool. Members of a single group (up to 4 members) can be seated together.
• All guests and staff are required to wear masks at all times. Non-compliance by visitors will lead to refusal of entry to the facilities.
• Face masks can be removed during any activity which requires body and face submersion.
• Outside showers can be used and operated, one person at a time.

Swimming Pool Guidelines
Cleaning and Disinfection:
• Swimming pools should undergo deep cleaning to minimise the risk of Legionnaires’ disease and other diseases associated with water.
• Changing rooms, lockers and shower facilities are permitted on the condition that cleaning and disinfection is performed after every use and physical distancing must be
maintained at all times. If hotel unable to maintain strict cleaning and disinfection regimes, and physical distancing rules, then these facilities must be closed.
• Ensure availability of hand sanitisers at various locations inside the facility.
• All sunbeds/loungers must be sanitised after each guest use.
• Ensure cleaning and sanitising for all facilities after daily duty timings.
• Lifeguard equipment to be sanitised prior to shift start and/or after usage.
• ‘Smart’ payment machines are to be sanitised before and after being presented to any guest.

Swimming Pool Guidelines
Other Conditions:
• A clear, colour-coded notification is to be placed on sunbeds/loungers to indicate that the sunbed/lounger is ready to occupy (RED = not ready GREEN = ready). Sunbeds
and loungers are to be as marked by staff members only.
• All guests are required to bring their own towels.
• Water slides are not included in these guidelines and remain closed until further notice.
• Children in the pool areas must be supervised by their parents or carers at all times to ensure swimming pool guidelines are followed.
• Lifeguards should be empowered to enforce the guidelines without fear of abuse or harassment by users who do not want to comply with the guidelines.
• Ensure that lifeguard rescue kits contain a mouth-to-mouth resuscitation protection piece. If children are allowed to use the pools, two sizes should be available (adults
and children)
• Guests who endanger the safety and well-being of others by refusing to comply with guidelines should not be allowed in the premises.
• Encourage guests to use ‘smart’ payments as a preferred method to reduce contacts and contamination; cash payments are still valid and not to be rejected. Ensure the
installation of hand sanitisers at payment counters.

• يجب فحص جودة مياه املسابح قبل إعادة ا فت تا حها ( القولونيات الكلية، القولونيات البرازية، عد البكتيريا الهيتيروتروفية، الزائفة الزنجارية، والعقديات البرازي ة، والفيلقية )
• االمتثال ملتطلبات دليل اللوائح التنفيذية للقانون رقم 2 الصادر عام 2012 بخصوص املسابح لضمان تلبية جميع املعايير، بما في ذلك قواعد أخذ عينات املياه .
• املحافظة على تركيز الكلور في املياه ( بين 1,0 و 2,0 جزء في املليون ) أو تركيز البروم ( بين 2.0 و 4,0 جزء في املليون .)
• عرض التعليمات التوجيهية للزوّار عند وصولهم .
• ينبغي أن يخضع جميع املوظفين ومرشدي السباحة لفحص فيروس " كوفيد – 19 " قبل إعادة االفتتاح مع معاودة إجراء هذا الفحص كل 15 يوما .
• يعود املوظفون ومرشدو السباحة إلى عملهم في حال جاءت نتائج فحص " كوفيد - 19 " سلبية .
• يجب فحص درجة حرارة الجميع ( الزوار، املقاولون، املوظفون ) قبل دخول املرافق .

التباعد االرجتماعي :
• ينبغي أال يتعدى عدد مستخدمي املسبح في املطرة الواحطدة نسطبة 50 % مطو حجمط اإلجمطالي باألمتطار املر عطة مطع مطمان مسطاحة 4,5 متطر للخط ص الواحطد . ويتعطين ومطع الفتطة تبطين الطاقطة االسطةيعابية
املسموح بها عند مدخل املسبح .
• توصية رواد املسبح بومع منشفة على سرير الةشمس ملنع تسرك العرق إلي .
• اإلبقاء على مسافة تباعد اجتماعي بواقع 2 متر بين أسرّة الةشمّس .
• االلتزام بومع ع مات توضّح مسافة التباعد االجتماعي البالغة 2 متر على األرميات بهدف تنظيم الطوابير بما يشمل الحمّامات .
• توجي الزوار بضرورة تجنب التواصل مع أش اص مو خار مجموعتهم .
• منع االحتكاك املباشر بين السباحين .
• يجب على الزوار ورواد املسبح البقاء على مسافة 2 متر عو اآلخريو سواء ممو املسبح أو خارج . مع إمكانية السماح للمجموعات ( حتى 4 أش اص ) بالبقاء معا .
• يطلب مو جميع الزوار ارتداء ال كمامة دوما . وفي حال عدم امتثال الزوار، يمنع دخولهم إلى الفندق .
• يُسمح بخلع الكمامة خ ل األنشطة الت تشمل مر الجسم والوج باملياه .
• تشغيل واستخدام املغاسل ال ارجية مو قبل ش ص واحد في كل مرّة .

التنظيف والتعقيم :
• ينبغي تنظيف املسابح بعناية للحد مو خطر انةشار مرض الليجيونير و يره مو األمراض الت تنتقل عبر املاء .
• يُسططمح تنظيفهططا وتعقيمهططا بعططد كططل اسطططتعمال، مططع مراعططاة التباعططد االجتمطططاعي فططي كططل باسططتخدام ططرف تبططديل امل بطططس وال ططزائو ومرافططق االسططتحمام بشطططر األ وقططات . وفططي حطططال لططم يططتمكو الفنططدق مطططو
قها الحفاظ على قواعد التنظيف والتعقيم، واالمتثال لقواعد التباعد الجسدي في هذه األماكو، فيجب إ .
• التأكد مو وجود معقمات اليديو في مواقع مختلفة ممو املنشأة .
• يجب تعقيم جميع أسرة الةشمس بعد كل استخدام .

• ومع لون ترميزي على كل سرير تشمّس لتوميح ما إذا كان جاهزا ل ستخدام ( أحمر = ير جاهز، أخضر = جاهز ) ، ويتم تخصيص هذه األسرّة مو قبل الطاقم امل صص لهذه ا ملهمة .
• على جميع الزوّار إحضار مناشفهم ال اصة معهم .
• تُسةثنى املنزلقات املائية مو هذه اإلرشادات، وتبقى مغلقة حتى إشعار آخر .
• مراقبة األطفال طوال تواجدهم في مناطق املسبح مو قبل ذويهم أو املشرفين لضمان امتثالهم لإلرشادات ال اصة باملسبح .
• تمكين رجال اإلنقاذ مو تطبيق اإلرشادات دون خوف مو إساءة أو مضايقة رواد املسبح الذيو يرفضون االمتثال لها .
• تزويد املنقذيو بقناع تنفس فموي ممو عدة اإلنقاذ، وتدريبهم على استخدام بالشكل الاحيح عند الحاجة .
• يمنع دخول الضيوف الذيو يعرّمون صحة وس مة اآلخريو لل طر جرّاء رفضهم االمتثال لإلرشادات التوجيهية .
• تخجيع الضيوف على استعمال طرق الدفع الذكية لتقليل االحتكاك واحتماالت انتقال العدوى، مع االستمرار بقبول الدفع النقدي، والتأكد م و ت ركيب معقّمات للي ديو على منامد الدفع .
